PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Certain drugs can interact with Arimidex and hence, mention clearly to your doctor or pharmacist all medicines, dietary supplements and herbal prescriptions that you are taking, especially any of the following.
Women must maintain utmost caution while taking Arimidex. You must not take the drug if you are pregnant. Alternatively, you must not become pregnant while taking the drug.
The drug can cause serious birth defects in the fetus.
If you are having sex while using the drug, then use at least 2 different types of contraceptives 1 month before, during and 1 month after using Arimidex to prevent a pregnancy.
It is unknown whether Arimidex is secreted in breast milk. Avoid breast feeding while using the drug.
Warnings/Precautions
Using this medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. Use a non-hormonal method of birth control if you are a woman capable of becoming pregnant. This medicine has been shown to cause harm to the human fetus. If you plan on becoming pregnant, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. It is unknown if this drug is excreted in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
Some of the common side effects of Altace are weakness, nausea, headache, hot flashes, pain, vomiting, cough, or diarrhea. These side effects can be treated and usually subside after treatment.
