PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Drug Uses
Acomplia works by selectively blocking CB1 receptors found in the brain and in other organs that are important in glucose and fat metabolism.
How it is taken
The best way to take is as recommended by your doctor. You may also check dosage instructions on the product label. The general dosage is one 20mg tablet every day before breakfast.
Missed Dosage
If you miss a dose of, then you may take it as soon as you remember and adjust the remaining doses accordingly. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose then you may skip this dose and continue with the regular dosage. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.
Warnings/Precautions
Certain drugs can interact with Acomplia and hence, mention clearly to your doctor or pharmacist all medicines, dietary supplements and herbal prescriptions that you are taking, especially any of the following.
Discuss with your doctor any prior medical condition that you may be suffering from including Liver problems, severely impaired renal function or if you are undergoing treatment for epilepsy.
If you are pregnant or suspect that you are, then stop using Acomplia. It is unknown whether Acomplia is secreted in breast milk. Avoid breast feeding while using the drug.
Follow a good weight loss diet plan combined with regular exercise to ensure the success of your weight loss program. Regular lab tests like blood pressure, pulse monitoring, and weight monitoring will be conducted to monitor your performance. Please ensure that you do not miss out on any of this.
Possible side effects
Some of the general side effects are nausea and upper respiratory tract infection, insomnia or trouble sleeping, dizziness, fatigue, diarrhea and irritability. You must seek medical attention if these symptoms fail to subside or become bothersome.
In severe cases allergic reactions (rash, hives, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue) can occur. Other than this increased sweating, seizures, agitation, anxiety, muscle cramps or spasm, confusion, depression, disorientation, fast or irregular heartbeat (palpitations), high fever, upset stomach and vomiting are some other severe side effects.
Seek medical attention immediately if you these side effects occur.
