Drug Uses
Vermox is used to cure certain infections. The medicine is used to treat infections that are caused due to whipworm, roundworm, pinworm and hookworm. It is also used to treat infections that are caused by more than one of these worms at a single time.

How to use
Make sure that you use Vermox as directed by your doctor. If the doctor has not informed you about the dosage, you can use it as instructed on the package. The medicine may be swallowed, crushed, mixed with food.
The complete treatment may take upto three days. The amount of time taken to cure the infection actually depends on how susceptible the worm is to the medicine. It also depends on the speed of your digestive system. If the infection is not cured within three weeks or more, you may require a second treatment.
Also, you might require treating your family members and closing contacts if you have contracted the infection. The most easily spread infection is that of the pinwor.

Drug Class and Mechanism
Vermox is an anti worm medication. It prevents the worms from growing or multiplying the body. Such a type of medicine is known as an antihelmintic medicine.

Missed Dose
If you missed a dose, make sure that you take it as soon as you remember. However, do not take the medicine if you are too close to the time of the next dose. Do not let a missed dose interfere with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose, as it may have some repercussions on your health.

Storage

You should store Vermox at 77 degrees. You should store it away from light, moisture and heat. You can store the medicine at around fifty nine to eighty six degrees for brief periods. Do not store the medicine in the bathroom. Keep the medicine away from children and pets.
 

Warnings/Precautions

Do not take Vermox without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment.
You should take Vermox only if you have spoken to your doctor about it, if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during the treatment. It is in the FDA pregnancy category C, therefore, it is unknown whether it is safe for an unborn baby or not.
 

Possible Side Effects
You should stop taking Vermox and seek emergency medical attention if you experience swelling of the lips, tongue and face. You should also seek medical help if you experience closing of throat, hives or shortness of breath.  You may also face lesser side effects, for which you do not need to stop taking Vermox, like abdominal pain, diarrhea or fever.
