PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Drug Uses
Xenical is a gastrointestinal lipase inhibitor that is used to manage obesity in adults and adolescents who are older than 12 years. The drug works by inhibiting the absorption of fats rather than suppressing the appetite.
How it is taken
Take Xenical exactly as directed by your physician. You may also check the product label for dosage instructions.
The tablet must be taken by mouth with each meal that contains fat. Do not take more than three pills in a day. You must take a multivitamin supplement containing vitamins A, D, E, and K
because Xenical has a tendency to decrease the absorption of vitamins in the body.
Missed Dosage
If you miss a dose of Xenical, then take it as soon as you remember. But if it is nearly time for the next dose, then you may skip the missed one and continue with your regular dosage. But do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose. Also, if a meal does not have fat or you have missed a meal, then do not take Xenical.
Storage
Store Xenical at room temperature in a cool, dark place away from direct exposure to light and moisture. Keep away from pets and children.
