Atarax is an antihistamine that is used to treat anxiety and tension caused by psychoneurosis and other organic disease states. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How it is taken
Atarax comes in tablet form to take in orally. The recommended dosage for adults is 50-100mg. The dosage for children is 50-100 mg divided into multiple doses. You may also use Atarax as recommended by your doctor.
Missed Dosage
If you miss a dose of, then you may take it as soon as you remember and adjust the remaining doses accordingly. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose then you may skip this dose and continue with the regular dosage. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
An overdose of Atarax may lead to oversedation. Please seek medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.
